2015 is here! I am finally following through with something I have always known I should do…Think out loud in written form!
It’s therapeutic to us “dreamers” whose minds are going 24/7 to get it all out publically sometimes so that we can ‘behave’ in public.
I would like to share with your personal and professional experiences and advice, tips and hopes. I hope you will feel as though you receive something out of each of my posts, big or small.
As we all head into 2015, we are thinking of ways to improve different areas of our life. And while the coach in me wants to teach you about the importance of having everything organized and well thought out, the other side of me wants to also encourage you to enjoy it. We need both. We need S.M.A.R.T. goals. Goals that are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and on a Timeline. Without a plan to reach goals, we might as well not set them at all. We all work better with plans and preparation. And we also need to be able to smile though it all. Your REAL you smile. Not a “new you” for 2015. A “better you…but still you” for 2015. SMILE.
Celebrate every success and learn from every failure. We need to give attention to all of the realms of our overall health in order reach fitness goals. Mental, Emotional, Spiritual, and Physical.
I have set personal goals in all of these areas for this year!
Here is one aspect. And it could not be coincidence I received this journal from a sweet friend for Christmas…
Personally, I am ready to dance. What? You dance everyday, Erica. I mean figuratively too.
I am ready to make soaking up and enjoying this crazy journey of being a wife, teacher of my boys, mother of my boys, business owner, fitness trainer, nutrition coach, all of the above my top priority. At thirty-one, I am learning that it all goes by way too fast. 2014 sure did!
So, while we all have this, “On your mark, get set, GO”, mentality…
Write yourself a motivational letter that you can pick up at the end of the quarter as the “Go get ’em” mentality is starting to fade. Motivation like the new year gives us a turbo boost, and those S.M.A.R.T. goals that we need to periodically build upon are going to be the endurance factor for the whole year.
So, I say to you,
“On your mark, get set, GOOOOOOO!!! ”
AND ENJOY AT LEAST MOST MOMENTS!
